About Driver Education
Driver Education is offered to students during non-instructional time. North Carolina Driving School, an outside contractor, provides free services to all public, private, and home-schooled students in Edgecombe County Schools.

Eligibility
To enroll in Driver Education, you must be 14 1/2 years old on the first day of class. Completion of the Driver Education curriculum includes 30 hours of classroom training and six hours of behind-the-wheel training.
