“Pittman has previously worked in the Human Resources Department as the Director of Personnel Support. She has also served as a school principal and an elementary teacher. She is an outstanding educator, dynamic leader, and committed to continuous improvement,” said Dr. Valerie Bridges, superintendent of ECPS.
Pittman is currently enrolled at East Carolina University where she is working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership. She is a graduate of East Carolina University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She also earned a Master of School Administration degree from East Carolina University.
"I am very excited about the innovative work that we are doing in Edgecombe County Public Schools. I look forward to the opportunity to leverage the work of our Human Resources Division to positively impact overall student achievement,” said Pittman.
