TARBORO, NC – Nedra Bruner was recognized at the June Edgecombe County Board of Education meeting as the Employee of the Month for Edgecombe County Public Schools. Bruner is a Guidance Counselor at W.A. Pattillo Middle School.
According to Lauren Lampron, W.A. Pattillo Principal, Bruner is a dedicated employee who strives to make a difference in the school community.
“Ms. Bruner uses her skills from her Career and Technical Education high school classroom and rigorous and relevant coursework information to allow Pattillo to incorporate many best practices. She talks openly and honestly with parents and works diligently to gain the trust of the parent to create a meaningful partnership. She closely monitors attendance and works with the attendance team to focus on students who are on the verge of missing too many school days,” said Lampron.
“Pattillo is a better place due to the ongoing dedication of Ms. Bruner,” added Lampron.
