Glass Selected as Stocks Elementary School Principal

TARBORO, NC – Lois Glass has been named principal of Stocks Elementary School. For the past four years, she has served as assistant principal of G.W. Carver Elementary School.

 

"Ms. Glass is an excellent instructional leader. She has been a very successful elementary assistant principal. I am excited about the leadership she will provide our school community at Stocks,” said John Farrelly, superintendent of Edgecombe County Public Schools.

 

With over 20 years of instructional and administrative experience, she has previously served as a first-grade teacher, reading teacher and instructional coach.

 

Glass earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from East Carolina University and a master’s degree in education from Lesley University. She also holds a master’s degree in school administration from Elizabeth City State University.

 

“I am elated to be joining the Stocks Elementary School Family. I look forward to establishing positive and nurturing relationships with the students, staff and community. I am also excited about continuing the wonderful initiatives of the school, such as The Leader in Me program,” said Glass. “It is my desire to focus on continuous improvement for all students as we continue to build a school of leaders.”
