School Lunch Hero Day to be celebrated on Friday, May 6

Between preparing healthy food, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, Edgecombe County Child Nutrition professionals have a lot on their plate. To celebrate their hard work and commitment, Edgecombe County Public Schools will celebrate School Lunch Hero Day on May 6.

Hilliard-Smith recognized as Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Kendra Hilliard-Smith, Head Custodian & Bus Driver at West Edgecombe Middle School, who was recognized as the ECPS Employee of the Month for April. Hilliard-Smith, center, is pictured with Superintendent Dr. Valerie Bridges and Board Chair Rev. Raymond Privott. The award is sponsored by Greg Sessoms - State Farm Agent.

Artsplosion to be held April 4 - 7

Artsplosion, ECPS's annual celebration of the arts featuring student performances and artwork, will be held April 4 - 7 at Keihin Auditorium on the campus of Edgecombe Community College in Tarboro.
