MMA's Johnson selected as ECPS Employee of the Month

Board Approves Calendar Changes

The Board of Education approved changes to the school calendar. The following days that were previously instructional days are now teacher workdays, with no school for students:
Friday, November 12, 2021
Monday, November 22, 2021
Tuesday, November 23, 2021
Also, there is no school for students this Thursday, November 11 as we observe Veterans Day.
The November 12th change was made to address staffing shortages expected on Friday. November 22nd and 23rd will be used for Professional Development for all ECPS Staff. This change will also allow our students to enjoy a week of Thanksgiving break with their loved ones.

We will have a limited amount of slots available for students in grades 9 - 12 who are interested in virtual learning for the Spring Semester of 2022. Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment in virtual learning. If your student is interested, you are encouraged to complete the application as soon as possible. The deadline for completing this application is Monday, November 15, 2021. You will be contacted by December 3, 2021 with a decision.

Families interested in having their children ages 5 - 11 vaccinated against COVID-19 are invited to attend one of our upcoming vaccination clinics. The clinics are being held in partnership with the Edgecombe County Health Department.

Schultz named Employee of the Month

ECPS Schools to participate in annual NC Crunch

Join the Farm to School Coalition of North Carolina and N.C. Farm to Preschool Network in celebrating National Farm to School and Early Care and Education Month by crunching into a locally grown fruit or vegetable on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at noon. The N.C. Crunch is an opportunity to taste and learn about North Carolina grown produce. Participants of all ages are invited to crunch! Edgecombe County Public Schools will be participating in the NC Crunch. We will provide all students and teachers with a Johnathan Apple grown on a farm in North Carolina.
