Edgecombe County has five high schools, including an Alternative School and an Early College. The Secondary Education Department is committed to serving the needs of all students at the secondary level by providing exciting programs that embrace and enhance the ability of all learners.

Edgecombe County Public Schools are preparing students for successful post-secondary experiences through highly qualified teachers, rigor, a strong emphasis on student achievement, and support from instructional coaches.

Through regularly scheduled curriculum meetings, teachers are kept abreast of current instructional strategies, resources, and best practices.
