What Is OC?

What is Opportunity Culture?
Aligned with your mission. Designed for your success. That’s Opportunity Culture.  We are committed to providing teachers with career development and advancement opportunities based on their excellence, leadership and student impact. Teachers earn more money by expanding their impact and taking on more responsibility within the school, all while staying in the classroom. In an Opportunity Culture, all teachers and staff have a chance to realize their potential through collaboration with — and leadership from — excellent teachers.
Opportunity Culture Is District-Wide in ECPS!
Beginning in August of 2019, all 13 traditional ECPS schools became Opportunity Culture schools!  Do you love teaching elementary, middle, or high school?  Are you a math, science, ELA, or special education specialist?  Do you want to teach in the town of Tarboro, or in the farmlands of Battleboro?  Whatever your interests and talents, there's an Opportunity Culture position in Edgecombe County for you!
