Edgecombe County Public Schools invites all rising 6th-grade students and their families to attend our Grade 6 Transition Day on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at each middle school.
Transition activities help students build confidence, reduce anxiety, and prepare for a successful start to middle school. During the event, students will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet teachers and staff, learn about expectations, participate in team-building activities, and become familiar with middle school routines.
Parents will also participate in an orientation session to learn about academic expectations, student supports, and ways to partner with the school for a successful transition.
