Vision

Every Edgecombe County Public School implements and sustains all components of a multi-tiered system of support to ensure college, career, and community readiness for all students.

Definition

NC MTSS is a multi-tiered framework which promotes school improvement through engaging, research-based academic and behavioral practices as well as Social Emotional Learning (SEL). NC MTSS employs a systems approach using data-driven problem-solving to maximize growth for all.

Mission

The district ECPS MTSS Team will prepare and support schools to implement and sustain a multi-tiered system of support through professional development, technical assistance, and resources aligned with the six critical components of NC MTSS that result in a sound, basic education for every child in the Edgecombe County Public School System.

Belief

We believe that MTSS is an effective and efficient approach to improving district, school, and student outcomes thereby ensuring a sound basic education for all.
