Lyons was recognized for keeping Tarboro High School clean and safe while the school was used as a shelter for Edgecombe County citizens impacted by Hurricane Matthew.
“Mr. Lyons logged many hours at the shelter. He even graciously cooked for the shelter residents,” said Kevin Cutler, Tarboro High School Principal.
“He is a great ambassador for Edgecombe County Public Schools and we are proud of him for making a difference in the lives of the citizens of Edgecombe County,” added Cutler.
