CTE teachers of the year

We are proud to recognize two of our outstanding Career & Technical Education teachers who are making a powerful impact in the lives of their students and in the field of CTE.

Mrs. Amber Davis, Agriculture teacher at SouthWest Edgecombe High School, has been named the 2025-26 Beginning CTE Teacher of the Year! In just her first years in the classroom, Ms. Davis has already made a remarkable impact—cultivating curiosity, hands-on learning, and a deep appreciation for Agricultural Sciences.

Mr. James Williams, Business teacher at Tarboro High School, has been named the 2025-26 CTE Teacher of the Year! Mr. Williams is a dynamic educator who brings real-world relevance and career readiness into the classroom every day. His commitment to student success and excellence in teaching has set a high bar for business education in our district.
